Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is Glucoray?

Glucoray reads a photo of your Indian meal and shows the net carbs against your daily target, in seconds. You check each dish and portion before it counts, and each meal gets a clear rating.

Who is it for?

People managing diabetes, such as type 2 diabetes, prediabetes or gestational diabetes, and caregivers who log meals for someone. Dietitians can follow their clients' meals on the Clinic plan, only with each client's consent.

How does it count carbs from a photo?

Take a photo of your plate before you eat. The AI only names the dishes and portions, and you fix any dish or portion with a tap. Glucoray then works out the net carbs for the meal and your day.

Where do the numbers come from?

Every number comes from published food tables, mostly the Indian Nutrient Databank, never invented by the AI. Each dish in a result shows the table row it came from.

Is my photo stored?

Glucoray doesn't keep it. Your meal photo is read in memory to recognise the dishes, then discarded: it is never written to disk, a database or a log. The AI service that reads it gets it without its location data, doesn't train models on it, and may keep it for a short time, for example to check for abuse.

What does it cost?

Free gives you 3 scans a day and the last 7 days of meals. Pro is ₹199 a month or ₹1,499 a year (US$4.99 or US$39 outside India) for unlimited scans and full history, prepaid with no auto-renewal. The Clinic plan for dietitians is ₹149 (US$3.99) per active client a month, for at least 10 clients.

Can I use it in Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Glucoray is a remote MCP server: add https://mcp.glucoray.com/mcp to Claude or ChatGPT as a custom connector and sign in with your email code. Your assistant names the dishes, Glucoray gives the carbs from Indian food tables, and a meal is saved only after you say yes.
